Good taste

Paper.Emotion.16.png

Exposing yourself to design does not create “good taste” — what creates good taste is understanding the underlying rationale and reasons why a design is successful.

You have to become a student of design, not just a consumer of design.

When you begin to understand the history and application of both functional and visual components this is when you can start to discern the “well-designed” from just “designed.”

There is a larger gap between something being “designed” and “well designed” than there is between “bad design” and “designed.”
