How to scale yourself in one really hard step


Scaling comes down to this - teaching others how to make decisions so you don’t have to be there to make them.

That’s it.

The way I think about "empowering":  empowering is giving someone the authority to make a decision. Authority gives you the "right" to make a decision but it doesn't mean that the right decision will be made.

Scaling yourself as a design leader is to teach your team to critical decision making skills, so when they have the authority they decide based on debate not emotion.
