Motivation vs Caring

Motivation is easy. You can use sticks or carrots. Threaten or tempt. It's about the person, not the community. And everyone has something they want.

Care is beyond motivation. Care is a loving act. It shows concern beyond the self. Care is something you feel in the quality of what a team or person delivers. It is hard to pinpoint where action turns to care until you see the people working in their process.

A lot of times, you cannot make people care - but you can find people who do.
